CSN First-Time Bachelor's Degree Scholarship

The 老司机导航 (CSN) offers a need-based scholarship for first-time bachelor's degree-seeking students who do not qualify for the Federal Pell grant or receive limited Pell Grant assistance. Limited funding is available on a first-come-first-served basis to assist with tuition costs.

Award Amount: $ 2,000.00- Awards are prorated for students attending 9-11credits max award amount $1,500.00
Terms Available: Fall and Spring Terms Only. Not offered during the Summer Term. 
Available to Apply: Complete FAFSA by July 1st each year to be considered.
Deadline to Apply: Students who qualify are automatically reviewed and if eligible will be awarded by September for Fall 2025 and February for Spring 2026.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be pursuing your first bachelor鈥檚 degree. (Students who have already completed a bachelor鈥檚 degree at another institution will not be eligible.)
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher and be enrolled in 300/400 level courses.
  • Must be enrolled in at least 9 credits per semester (preference is given to full-time, 12 credits or higher applicants).
  • Must be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress standards.
  • Students not meeting SAP due to the Maximum timeframe limit are encouraged to submit an SAP appeal for scholarship consideration.
  • Must be a Nevada Resident

Scholarship Notification Timeline:

  • Awarding begins in September through October for Fall semester and February through March for the Spring semester (after grades for the Fall semester have been reviewed for maintaining eligibility).

Additional Notes:

  • Please note: Students in their final semester before graduation who are unable to meet the 9-credit minimum enrollment requirement are encouraged to apply for Mission Graduation. The scholarship cannot be prorated for less than the 9-credit minimum.
  • Funds will be applied toward tuition, fees, and other educational costs first. If there is credit remaining on your account, the Cashier鈥檚 Office will send you the credit via Direct Deposit.
